  Please Mr.President not just food security but most importantly food safety . When you omit this your people panic . Don't worry so much about price a the highest price lies in food safety

  People don't understand how food production changes the fortunes of a state.A nation with food security is able to divert her resources, energies and attentions from importing to other enterprises such as infrastructure and social services.Food production(agric,fisheries and animal ranching) is one of the most profitable and also far reaching industry there is.Not only does it provide work for the principals such as farmers but to almost all sectors of the economy and it affect all our citizens everyday.So instead of continuing to spend billions in hard earned foreign currencies importing frozen turkey tails we must put some of that money into loan schemes to help local poultry farmers upgrade their production and also start processing their birds not only for local consumption but for exports to our neighbors and other foreign consumers.Just imagine how our economy will look like if Ghana had thousands of mid sized and large sized commercial plantations and 250plus herd ranches of goats, cows,lambs,deers.Our rice, cassava,millet,plantain,sorghum,yam and maize fields should be as important to us as our off shore oil fields.Our animal husbandry must be more important to us as a nation than just a passing thought.Countries like Brazil, Argentina,, Australia make a fortune each year dealing in beef export.So why can't we at least produce our own food?
