KOFI, I once worked for an airline right here in Accra and guess what! One of our staff had no idea what a flush toilet was all about! Apparently, she lived in a compound house that had a pit latrine. So you see, we do have problems here in Accra. In another instance, a customer who I know lives in Labadi, wanted to use the loo, did not close the door, and rather hanged his trousers ON the door and did his thing. I couldn't blame him because there is no such facility where he lives. KOFI, a lot of us grow up before learning table manners. Why, because most homes don't have dinning halls. Do you have one?

It's a sad story. Let's hope that the culprit will be found and brought before justice. Great lessons from this unfortunate tragedy must be learned here. Ghanaians need to be informed about the use and care of toilet facilities and esp our drainage and sewage systems. Parliament should prepare a law that will define how household toilet systems are applied. Every Landlord should be responsible for the adequate provision of bathroom and toilet facilities in their homes. Govt on the other hand should ensure effective delivery of portable water systems and it's effective maintenance throughput the country.

When I was at Valco Hall, Legon, from 1998-2000 two guys from the BA Region framed me up to our colleagues at the UGBS, with all all sorts of lies, simply bcos I complained to their elder brother or uncle Pastor, who was accommodating them in the same room meant for two persons.
Many members of our class believed their stories and tried to embarrass me at every turn. Oh, BA, why do you produce such characters?
