We are not blinded by political hatres like you. Asanteman was fully restored by 1931 then there was Gold Coast Colonial Council and Asanteman Native Council. It was the Asantehene asking these two council to merge to represent the interests of both people living in the colony and in Asante. In my opinion one of the worst mistakes. If not for Asante you would have had to engulf in civil wars. Your Nkrumah was broke and was so desperate to gain votes in Asante that he wanted to hive off western Asante region to reduce voting powers in Asante but he couldn't therefore he went in for the political option by renaming it Bono Ahafo which had no effect on traditional jurisdiction within that area. Even his boycotts etc were financed by Asantes. Even my own father campaigned for him and became the Secretary of the party. Key CPP members like Krobo Edusei was a poor drug seller being given a room at one of our family houses in Kumase. He influenced most of us into his party to be founded.

Asantes did never work together with the colonialists, except for the Dutch! Asanteman was not created on basis of a master servant relationship. Many joined us voluntarily and conquered states were not called defeated states.Once their loyalties were ensured, member states of Asante retained their independent existence. Their people were not seen as servants, but as brothers and sisters with their leader being given an important position in the kingdom. An Asante law created by Osei Tutu I, was the naturalization of the conquered states with all due rights as citizen. Whoever dared to tell his son, these people were from this and that place, conquered etc. were punished. They had to be fully be respected as real citizen. Guess why Osei Tutu had to send his army to fight and conquer Denkyira again, just a year after the first war? Guess why up to today descendants of so called slaves lay claim on some stools? People participating and benefitting from transatlantic slave trades were Fantes, Anlos, Oyo, Dahomey and Ga to mention a few.
