My family in the central region had faced the same problem at Breman-Esikuma, Bankye-kumasi and Abowen-mu mortuaries. All mortuary attendants, both government and private multiply the pains of mourning families to enrich themselves. I wish the authorities of Breman-Esikuma Catholic hospital would investigate the clerk or officer at the hospital morgue to confirm the source of his revenue for his big private house. If such a worker could do this to frustrate the poor members of the Catholic fraternity at the blind side of the management of the facility, then corruption is even highly organized in the church without notice. I suggest government should form units within every such facility, be it private or otherwise to control such expensive mourning costs.
