In a country where the system is broken, nothing works right. Ghanaians will blame this on juju and all the nonsense. There should be an institution that inspects and regulates all commercial vehicles. Special training and license should be given to commercial drivers besides the usual drivers license. Commercial drivers must go for vehicle inspection every 6 months. This institution must be monitoring drivers on our highways and issue them citations for reckless driving. Having 3 of such citations in a year must constitute a revocation of license for about 3 years. A driver that gets involved in an accident leading to death must be charged for manslaughter and be jailed. Such institutions are what the state must spend its money on. Instead we are spending our money on this useless Council of State plus its exgratia nonsense. Until we do this, we will continue to see these deaths and keep on blaming them on juju.?
