Does Franklin Kudjoe want to control Parliament too? Mr. Kudjoe was on NDC government payroll, and having lost that income, after the NDC lost power, he may now want to attack anything the NPP does, to be placed on the government's payroll again. Not this time, Mr. IMANI. We now have a responsible government, and will not allow you to control the august parliament of the people of Ghana. If the Appointments Committee's chairman does not exercise control over the appointment process, what is the use to put him there? The Appointments Committee is not there to satisfy the whims of any one person, or a pressure group, but the nation and the purpose it serves. Franklin, your hay days under Mr. Incompetent is over!

I do not want to believe that Mr. Cudjoe is the "know-all" type.
Parliament has its rules and procedures and Cudjoe cannot tell me he knows more than the Chairman of the Appointments Committe and the Minority leader who saw clearly that the person he seeks to defend by imputing arrogance to the Chair of that Committee did nothing to the Committee's set rules.
Cudjoe, go slow lest you work yourself and, for that matter, your fine organization with fine men into irrelevance in the political discourse of our country.

Haruna Iddrisu is a wrong choice the NDC made for Minority Leadership. James Clutse Avedzi was the perfect choice for that position. Alban Bagbin performed well as a minority leader because prior to being the minority leader, he had never occupied any executive position and so the then NPP government could not find any fault with his past stewardship. This explains why he was able to effectively put the Kufuor Government on their toes. The same applies to Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu. What about Haruna Iddrisu? He is known to have conducted shandy deal whiles at the Ministry of Communication. As for the mess he caused at the Ministry of Employment, especially with the pension funds and the State Attorneys, the least said about it the better. No wonder his own party member and a colleague minister accused him of acquiring ill-gotten wealth. The question then is, will Haruna Iddrisu have the balls to put NPP on their toes. Hmmmmm.

There is no need for shielding any one. Ghanaians and foreigners are all watching proceedings. Campaign is over but we voted for change based on promises of Nana and Bawumia. We want to know when the promises will become reality. We notice some nominees failed to confer with Nana before appearing before the vertting committee of our parliament. Why are we hearing discordant tones from nominees? We aren't in a banana republic. We voted for our wishes as promised. No more, no less. We have contract with Nana Addo as president.

I don't think the Chair did any wrong by ensuring the process was kept above the minimum threshold where Suhuyini and the NDC party obviously had serious problems, engaging.
NPP brings a certain focus to the governance process and it is important the NDC does a quick recalibration to up their game or it's over, fact.
The Chair of the committee has been most astounding. Step up or go home. The NDC party has a lot of work to do from the look of things.
