Let's be realistic here, are these universities going to offer these services for free or they are going to charge the nation for it because you and I know the prisoners don't get paid and for that matter we as citizens have to pay. Even if that is not the case and some Good Samaritan decides to pay, do we think that is a priority now for the prisoners? NO. Accommodation, Food, Sanitation and Health are VERY BIG PROBLEMS in all of our prisons so why won't the people think of the most important needs. I have a masters in Public Health from a foreign university and I'm without a criminal background but guess what, I don't have a job,So how much more a convicted felon! I'm not saying it's impossible for a prisoner to get a job but let's compare them to non prisoners with so to speak the same qualifications. Who will probably get a job?? (which doesn't even exist in the country as at now). If universities want to help the society, they should help government to be more innovative and make available jobs for graduates. It's indeed a perfect idea for prisoners but clearly not at this time. Common VC's, This is not rocket science.
Also, I sometimes wonder why some of the media companies only report or publish stories instead of assessing and criticizing the people who make the decisions. I think it's time for us to concentrate on the needs of our people than to make people who are already rich, RICHER!

what you don't knw n need to be made aware is the fact that every president whether your party's flagbearer or not is your president and needs to be treated as such.. so knw how to talk to your president . Remember , those words can be directed to your parents for they have rather failed to teach you manners...

They also go into construction instead of giving for instance school contractions to greedy, ineffective contractors becauwe there are many artisan prisoners and even more can be trained. The prison authorities should consider that. They can use qualified for the prisoners teach others.If individuals are using prisoners in such ventures, why not government? . Adult education and life long programmes can be developed to prepare the prisoners for future better lives.
