I remember when this case broke and I suggested that people shouldn't rush to judgement commenters here called me names and asked for this man's head.Now look at this.No amount of compensation can erase the horrors this man has endured.What if he had died of broken heart?Most likely he has lost his employment,family and friends over this incident and can never recover from that.That is why we all have to give any suspect of crime the benefit of the doubt and investigate thoughly before condemning anybody .

The fact that the DNA proved that he's not the father of the child doesn't mean he didn't defile the girl. Not all defilements end up in pregnancy. Ghana police and judges are dumb.

Now, if DNA test proves that teacher is not the father of the baby, then the defilement charge goes to the real father of the baby which is only known to the baby's mother.

1) No charges should be made until police have DNA evidence or very strong other evidence
2) Forensic labs should be funded to process DNA sampl ...

1) No charges should be made until police have DNA evidence or very strong other evidence
2) Forensic labs should be funded to process DNA samples within 5 days and all defilement cases should have DNA tests done.
3) Bail should be normally granted to people charged unless there is a high probability of the person not appearing in court for trial.
4) Prosecute those who make knowingly false defilement claims.
5) Reduce the sentence terms for defilement where there has not been a significant harmful impact.

Precis, your stake is very interesting and it's worth reading. However we could develop some hypothesis to make some derivations here:

1. He might have gone to the prison based on a mere rape speculations without being tested for a DNA
2. Someone might have raped the girl but he might have been a mistaken identity and some coincidence might have lured him to become a suspect without any scientific proof.
3. If he was denied his quest for a DNA test initially, there could be some ulterial motives from those handling the case knowing he could be used.

Now since the news failed to give some hints to these questions, it could be scientifically and factually true that he was not the rapist as far as a DNA test has proven so. This stems from the fact that it was the same rape case that resulted in the pregnancy and the DNA has refuted his alleged involvement by proving negative results.

In conclusion, he cannot be claimed as the one who raped her. This exposes how some weak judges allow poor and lazy work to tarnish images of innocent victims. He should sue the state for a huge claim to warn the poor and bad judges in the country next time.
