  Whereas firing all the workers first will be an extreme action, I am glad that there is general recognition of the rot among the workers (lower level administrators and medical staff) as the crux of the problem at Korle Bu.

  Let me mention that the complaints KOSSA referred to, complaints which were wrongly and arrogantly channeled, were, nevertheless, investigated by the Board, despite their refusal to cooperate, and found to be false and a public statement issued accordingly. They cannot therefore use the present infraction of the Management as proof of the validity of their previous unfounded accusations.

  A hospital is as Good as it's staff. These are the people who will look after you when you come to the hospital sick. It's NOT the CEO sitting in his office who will take care of you.There's something very wrong with Korle bu under Dr Gilbert Buckle. Korle bu is now the most expensive Hospital in Accra,whilst there's is daily shortage of basic items like water,soap, gloves etc. Dr Buckle has been consistently threatening the senior staff with the name of President Mahama and Valerie Sawyer.Anybody challenging the deterioration at Korle Bu can come to the surgical block, expecially on a Thursday morning and see the desperation of fellow Ghanaians struggling to access specialist surgical care.There's no mafia at Korle Bu,only greedy and callous politically appointed administrators who want to chop money at the expense of long suffering nurses,doctors,pharmacist etc who toil daily under trying conditions to save lifes.
