There were a whole dozen of NDC members on the vetting committee. Why is it that none of them has come forward to confirm if money actually passed under the carpet to them. This Ayarega thing is wasting our time.

This is the only way to protect the integrity of the house. Whether he apologises or begs for forgiveness, the whole thing was uncalled for. Especially not at this time of our dispensation.
Nana must put pressure on the people who matter to act now to reinforce all the noise he made during the campaign and assure us that our votes were not cast for him in vain. The whole country is waiting for action.

It will be unfair to leave Ayaraga if really this issue is just a lie.. Is time for serious people to occupy offices to ensure discipline instead the embarrassment Ayaraga is putting himself and his people in Banku central.

This doesn't make sense or does Ayariga thinks they are still in power? Please give this man an orientation about how the parliament/legislature (Senate/House, House of Lords/Commons etc) works. That when you in an opposition your vote don't mean shit. Wait a minute! Is he a lawyer for real? I don't live in Ghana so l wanna know please help me out. It is a courtesy in a democratic system for you in an opposition to make some noise sometimes to waste tax payers money because you're given that fiat from your constituency but as a matter of fact the majority don't care. They rule so shut your trout as they can use their majority to vote for anything they want without giving a dime to anybody.

MP Ayariga is a lawyer who has never practiced law, because, he doesn't have the legal skills, intellectually, to practice law. This is the reason why he could not analyse his current position well, as a minority opposition member, whose voice is only noisy, without any parliamentary effect,as you have already indicated. He has practiced politics more than law. In politics, he has never been capable to hold any position, except to blackmail. He was successful in blackmailing his own kinsman Adamu Sankode, until Sankode's imprisonment. I can say for sure, or bet my last $1.00 on it that MP Ayariga is a Blackmailer in Chief, and not a legal practitioner, although a certified lawyer, just to answer your question.

I have some difficulty in understanding the course Hon Joe Osei Wusu wants to use to clear his name in this scandal he is engulfed in. In the 1st place going by a general statement at plenary in Parliament will allow other members to make comments on the statement which will water down his case when he goes to court thereafter. Secondly going to court has some hurdles to clear because the Const. under Art. 115 & 116 clothes MPs with privileges and immunities in relation to THEIR IN PARLIAMENT. For any MP to seek redress on a matter against his/her person in the performance of his/her duties as an MP, the MP can make a PERSONAL not general statement on the issue after which the Speaker may refer the issue to the Privileges committee. The Privilegegs committee acting under standing orders of parliament and Art. 116 of the Const. will then look at the issue thoroughly and report to the whole House its findings so the House can apply the necessary sanctions as prescribed by the Standing Orders & the Const. Hon Osei Wusu is a lawyer and I believe will use relevant actions to redeem his name, reputation, office of Speaker an? the image of Parliament. These bribery allegations are becoming one too many. PC Appiah Ofori, ASK Bagbin, Martin Amidu and Anas Aremeyaw Anas have all made similar allegations which indicts Parliament. Parliament should take this matter up and deal with it to redeem its image and Ghana as a whole.

Appiah Ofori, that his colleagues on the NPP side took bribes to approve the privatisation of Ghana Telecom.Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, the current 2nd Deputy Speaker in Ghana’s parliament and anti-corruption crusaders Martin Amidu and Anas have also made bribery allegations against Parliament. This time around, we the citizens of this country should ask for a full-scale investigation by an independent body.
