What that Cheremeh guy said is dumb,they are talking about a bribe from an individual to committee members and he is talking about money pay to members go through parliamentary official,how dumb can he be,do they get their bribe from their finance office.

Money stuffed in envelopes and distributed by a leader is not how MPs are paid. So how can Ayariga make a statement that they took it because they thought it was a sitting bonus pay? And returned it later when they realized it was a bribe. Why didn't you keep it as evidence as a lawyer yourself? If it was any kind of bonus or pay, that is not how it would be delivered. There is a pay system in place how MPs are paid. THIS IS ABSOLUTE PIECE OF CRAP, PERIOD!!!

The minority sounded the alarm after they were told the monies were their sitting allowances. Sitting allowances don't get paid by hand-outs - they have to be accompanied by signed documents. The handouts were not documented that is why the minority is crying BRIBERY.

Mind you, it is believed some NPP committee members also got some of the undocumented hand-outs. Investigate the bribery allegation and find out the truth. Don't just sit there and throw dust into peoples eyes.

I suspect Ayariga is being truthful but there are issues in governance and leadership ( especially the African brand) which requires tactfulness rather than zealousness.
I believe money has changed hands. However any exposed mind will appreciate that transactions of bribery and corruption hardly generate evidencial trail because they are conducted in a ghostly and opaque manner. Typically A will implore B to convince C to reach D to solicit favour from E. Its a long chain where in most cases members would not have made contact with all involved. If at any point a person in the chain becomes uncooperative, an investigator will hit a brick wall.
I have heard Ayariga claim that he can't speak to the connection between Muntaka, Osei Wusu and Agyarko because he is not privy to any communication that must have gone on between them. This means that Ayariga is effectively speculating on whom was the source of the cash because his contact ( Muntaka) has completely denied knowledge of any such transaction whatsoever.
I believe Kwesi Pratt's version about the untrustworthy NPP MP who mobilised the funds, unsettling Ayariga and co to return the payments. In fact he should have been quiet and left it at that after they had returned the money. But the stupid politician that he is, thought he could make political capital out of the issue without weighing out the whole matter carefully. Because without hard evidence you will bear the brunt of any allegation made against people percieved to be noble. And this is where he finds himself today. The point is he cannot corroborate his pronouncements with any substantial evidence and Muntaka has his eyes on the bigger picture and is therefore uncooperative. Ayariga is on his own and the public will percieve him as a liar going forward - credibility is gone. I pity him cos i know he is saying the truth but this is hard politics. You need to be strategic in moves and utterance.
All these committees will yield nothing. Its effectively the words of Ayariga and co against Osei Wusu and co. Whom do you believe? Welcome to Ghana . Case nu apai!!!!!

Also, the Chairman of the vetting cttee and my senior brother Muntaka are aware the challenges they will face if the allegation turns to be true. But my worry is my big brother swearing in ALLAH name, he was the very person who sweared in the same ALLAH name on the Pampers issue and at the end it he wasn't able to distance himself from that scandal, so give Ayariga the benefit of doubt.
