Every salary must be captured in the Budget for the year. Why didn't Mahama add it to his budget at the beginning of the year? Nana can not steal money from somewhere to give you at this time until Budget is prepared and your allowances are captured. You're adults now and must reason out why Mahama did what he did. Is it the time to give new salaries? You must know that he didn't have any power to increase your allowances in December when he didn't do it for you before the elections. Those of you who studied Economics and accounting must advise the others to disregard Mahama's pronouncements after he lost. He only wanted to make things difficult for Nana Akuffo Addo. This scam has been the order of the day ever since NDC came into office and any attempt to bring sanity into the system the Ewes would start to complain saying the govt is targeting the world bank of NDC but that's a lie. The NPP must put things in order before tackling this NSS issue because it is a conduit for a scam .

This is a wake up call for the government to put on hold totally the restoration of allowances for the teachers and nursing trainess and give the needed attention to the National Service department for the sake of equity cos I don't see the need of giving allowances to the teacher n nursing trainess whose job is guarateed after the completion of their courses whiles the university and polythecnic student after completion will be denied of a meagre increament to their entitlements....I think this is not far at all.The money that will be used to pay the the teacher n nursing trainee can be channeled into the National Service improve upon their lives whiles serving their motherland and this will even bring a relieve to the national purse.This is my humble please ....Thanks

By the way, have those complaining forgotten that the Kuffuor NPP government increase salaries substantially, and signed the Single Spine into law just before they left power? The Atta Mills NDC government never complained, but went further to implement what was much much more gargantuan than this mere increase for just over 70,000 National Service Personnel.

But come to think of it that Mahama backdated Article 71 holders three years and collected their salaries from there. On leaving office, he increased it again including all civil servants and nss personnel. Has Akufo Addo not paid all civil servants and article 71 holders their increment? Did Nana refused to pay that because the ex president did that article 71 holders increment? Didn't Nana the executive and other public officers not collect their salaries with the increment just because the increment was done by the ex President? What sort of stupidity and hypocrisy is that? Does the nss personnel have water flowing in them? Are the so-called article 71 holders and other civil servants more human or Ghanaian than the nss personnel? If you are not paying theirs, don't pay all others because the economy is broke but you don't pay yours leaving theirs. One person's salary can be share to about 50 service personnel. Their foolish allowances are even 70% more than a service person's own. What sort of goons, cons and stupidities is that? If nana Addo did capture in his manifesto, why should pay article 71 holder's and other civil servants increments? They haven't had increment for almost 4years and you come and sit on this platform spewing nonsense because Nana is in government and should be given time. Why did Mahama have to increase at the last minute. Nonsense! Does the service personnel not pay huge utility bills, board transport to work, feed on it and other miscellaneous on that meagre money much more even thinking of saving some?
