  Honestly the economy being in poor shape is no excuse to duck his election promises.he did not set preconditions when he made them.he did not say if the economy is in good shape I will do this and that,his promises were made, infact ,based on the knowledge that mahama was ruining the economy. In any case this is what all politicians do,its nothing new.but anything else is still better than the ndc.
