But 13.9 is may be 200% over pricing because the land on which the house is being built doesn't cost us no money.

Regardless of quality, building a home cost more in the US. Cost of land, labor, permits, taxes and everything is more expensive in the US than Ghana. Yes, poor quality materials but it is more expensive than in Ghana.

The total cost of Holiday Inn hotel at the Airport City at the Kotoka Airport was USD12million. Because to stop overpayments suggests, all the professionals needed to cost such a project made their inputs considering the kind of project we are talking about-official residence of the Vice President of Ghana. This was not a mud hut in Pru or a wooden shack at Agbogbloshie. So what did Mahama and Amissah-Arthur do?
6. What does the $13.9 million dollars for that structure entail?
Indeed, there are more questions than answers and it is very important John Mahama who seemed to be very much aware of this project since he tweeted, that was where Vice Prez. Bawumia should be looking at packing himaelf, since the official Cantonments Residence for VP's had been taken over by him, as in looted. Did Mahama know it was for 13.9 million dollars when he was saying that was where Vice Prez. Bawumia should be thinking of taking up residence? Did Mahama know Amissah-Arthur had stopped overpayments with regards to that project? With John Mahama hanging on to the Vice President's residence at Cantonments, was that to say he was totally fine with the single sole-sourced project of a staggering 13.9 million dollars?

Let me educate u Apaak. $5.9 million dollars would open 59 separate $100000 businesses for unemployed graduates around the country. Each business could easily employ ten graduates. the businesses will grow, become profitable and employ many more jobless youth.
Best of all the loan could even be paid back eventually!!
Alas, our governments will make every possible excuse why we cannot source the funding for such laudable projects. But we can easily find $13.9 million to house just the VP.
The colossal amounts that have been mentioned for several building projects must all be vetted. Independent surveyors must be employed to recost every single construction project. I promise you there are billions of dollars to be reclaimed.

Why are prople still riding around in Gvt vehicles ? The past political appointees still drive the V8 cars, park them at home and charge the gvt. unreasonable petrol consumption. I thought measures would have been put in place to prevent this public bilking. It is going into three weeks and it is till NDC in administrative powers.

To make matters worst this housed is constructed to a foreign company whilst state construction company is available. Do our leaders love this nation at all?
