Previous Governments have only paid lip service to the diaspora while relying on them for Tax Revenue at the ports and Direct Transfers which constitute a prominent proportion of the GDP

I believe the real vision ought to be a full fledged standing ministry of Diaspora Affairs sanctioned by a legislative instrument and a yearly voted budget to have it functioning effectively.
The diaspora contribution to national development yearly exceeds $6b and this is outside the intellectual added value transferred.
Many governments have attempted this and until our basic rights to vote is restored we will continue to nibble at the edges of this goldmine. ROPAA Must be allowed to work

Mr. Huntsman a former Utah Governor, a Republican from probably the most Red State was made the US Ambassador to China by Democratic President, Barack Obama. These are probably the some of the most sensitive diplomatic positions but they called on the Opposition members to serve.

Now check this, Dr. Chambas staunch NDC who could have run for the presidency under the NDC banner was sent to represent Ghana at the ECOWAS. President Kuffour might have had some other motives but I give it to him!
