If Kan himself is a thief and supports or wants to throw his weight behind the thieves, he must quickly step aside. We don't need complacent, compliant, nonchalant leaders. Even in the US we have the FBI storming places to take care of business. Here in Ghana, if a government member asks a security agent to effect the arrest of any political thief, or the recovery of any stolen items, nothing will be achieved, for as soon as the rich thief hears of the order, all he has to do is to reach to his padded wallet. The security agent walks out with a smile. The thievery case becomes a dead case. Mr Kanda Dapaah's interest would have been served in this way: he has connived, being the thief that he also must be. Nana surely cannot achieve anything with people like that. Ghana needs tough hands for the tough thieves. Never mind their crocodile tears. Nana risks being like Mahama with people like Dapaah. Or, is it that we should not expect anything different, redeeming, from Nana?
