Most produce go rotten by the end of the bumper harvest season! Priority therefore should be given to commercial farmers who would add value to their produce.But the infrastructural base has to be strong to attract commercial farming!

We those in the Agricultural sector are ready to work but i hope Government will provide logistics for technical backstoping. As at now only few Agricultural Extension Agents (A.E.A's) within the Department of Agriculture have motorbikes. There is only three "non-functioning" GPS, our official pick up has been parked for almost three years, few officers with cars use their personal cars for offical duties which comes at an extra cost to individual staff members with cars. Government should help the Department of Agriculture which has now been moved from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development under the new Local Government act. We are ready to work but logistics and others are making our work very difficult. Please provide us logistics to help impact our local farmers and monitor the process of work at any point in time. God bless us all and long live Ghana.......

Please my only advice to the minister is he should form a very strict monitoring and evaluation team to always make sure this project is successfully carried out at the district and municipal levels else some of our selfish, greedy and pot bellied stomach directors will chop the money and collapse the project just within the first year. Again make sure there's avoidance of favouritism especially working with wicked and selfish farmers who will harvest greater portion of their produce and pretend to set their farms ablaze as an excuse to lost. Please check especially the three Northern regions farmers.The most wicked farmers without conscience.
