Which company or Ghanaian goat-head stand to benefit? From where I sit in Ghana, NPP operatives do have a leasing car company in mind who is going to be asked to inflate rental fees for leased government vehicles so a percentage can cover kickback payments to the NPP machine. Anyone who believes in this childish cosmetic bullcrap is bound to believe the NPP victory or the NDC loss was sanctioned by God.

It is not uncommon to see these officials use these vehicles outside business hours for nonofficial use. The solution to this problem is for the government to lease these vehicles rather than outright ownership. After the terms of have expired the vehicles it then becomes incumbent upon the lessor to retrieve the vehicles, sparing the government that task. The second solution is to mark the vehicles with a sign or special license plate indicating it is a government property. Hopefully, this will discourage nonofficial use outside business hours.

The problem with Ghana is that you guys assign Government vehicles to folks who use the vehicle not just for official use but for personal use. They drive the vehicle to their villages for funerals using tax payers money to purchase gas! When they lose power, they believe the vehicles are their personal properties because they have used it for over 4 years!

No person must be allowed to drive government vehicle to their homes! That is how it is done here where I am.
