  Supposing Bawuah, Welbeck, the Dutch guy Memphis, Boateng (the good one) and a host of others had agreed to play for Ghana, do you think we would have been in this mess? Any coach could have coached them to cup glory.

  Translate into good coach. You have to be able to motivate, manage egos, think strategically and tactically, be intelligent enough to make logical decision, know how to deal with media etc.
