  Grant did not add anything to Ghana Football. All he was doing was telling the players "give me Five" before matches. He was lazy and avoided friendly matches only to field injured players who lacked fitness, strength, wit, a ...

  Grant did not add anything to Ghana Football. All he was doing was telling the players "give me Five" before matches. He was lazy and avoided friendly matches only to field injured players who lacked fitness, strength, wit, and stamina. Serious matches were therefore used as recovery drills to the unfit. The next Coach must accept to play friendlies so we can all know who is fit for competitions. This will also help to make the team dynamic - ever changing styles and strategies.

  Agree!!! Lack of fitness due to lack of playing time at club level and not enough competitive friendly matches prior to tournaments is why the Black Stars have failed to win any trophy since 1982!!!

  It has been obvious, Ghana's inability to defend set-pieces, starting from the goalkeeper. Yet Grant did absolutely nothing to correct this flaw. Now what is he talking about?

  Lack of Playing Time at Clubs!!!
  People have blamed the coach, GFA and even lack of fan support for why BS have failed to win AFCON or any other tournament since 1982. But in my opinion, the main reason is lack of playing time at club level for most of our players, who come to tournaments not totally fit or sharp. Results in loss of mental concentration and mistakes which lead to us conceeding unnecessary goals or not being clinical with our goal-scoring opportunities. Our player selection criteria MUST include a minimum % playing time at club level to force players to stop going to clubs for money and fame just to warm the bench, e.g., Christian Atsu, Baba Rhaman, Andre, Jordan, Wakaso, etc.

Most of these players have been to more than 3 AFCON and World Cup. When again will they grow. What they lack is the passion and the will to die for ones' country. All what they think about is money money money.
