Ghana has something called local Black Stars. There are also under U20 and U23 teams. So a player doesn't have to be on the real Black Stars to get exposure. Every single player in any of these teams have to get on a particular team based solely on merit but not quota. It just happen that all our best football talents leave Ghana so it seems there's biased against local players but not really. Richard Ofori is a player. He got on the Black Stars team on merit and should be so for every other player.

The level of competition at afcon is fierce than chan. The afcon winner plays in the confederation cup, more.scouts. Afcon has more.scouts, period. Do u know why affirmative action and employment equity programs for women, minorities and disabled are approved esp in Western nations? Bcos some persons were being extremely prejudicial against african americans and such marginalized groups. In gfa' case, they discriminate based on payola. Most local based players have the skill but lack the payola money. So we need the quota system to help level the playing field for local players and provide the much needed integrity for the local lg. Nyantakyi couldmcare less if the local lg truncates. If u say local players are not qualified to play for bstar then u are naive and ignorant. Assafuah a fmr local players excelled at u20, was signed with sion fc and now bstar player. Those u20 boys who won the wcup with sellas were local players. After the wcup, milo too them to afcon final.vs egypt so if u tell me that local players cant deliver as bstar players then u are a fool

We can learn from england. At some point hooliganism challenged their game's progress. When they faced that challenge head on their leagues became lucrative. The stadia's must be good, pricing of tickets as in germany must be reasonable, promote the games not as a past time of men and hooligans but as family friendly leisure activity with family tickets and all. Clubs must proove they are active in the communities in which they serve and lastly the country needs a coaching or sport directorate of excellence to train coaches etc and finally bring in reform which will enable ex footballers to positions in the fa
