Being 83 does not mean, she will pass away soon. Young men and women can die before the aged but it would have been prudent to get a queen who is between 35 and 55 years

It is very good that Otumfuo has immidiately appointed a successor to take the vacant place of the late Asantehemaa who was called home to join her ancestral family in the world here after, but my contension of this matter is the fact that,her sister who was appointed to inherit the late Asantehemaa is 80 years,too old to hold the furt for a longer period of time,even though,the dry leaves drop as well as the tender green leaves, but prevention is better than cure.

It is known in the fanti history that she was captured together with her sister ( Nana Ama Somuwaah) during one of the Ashanti-Fanti wars. The fantis still hold the descendants of these two royals of the Ashantis kingdom.
