The special prosecutor should not be appointed by the president. The position should be made open for interested and qualified candidates to apply for the position and the best applicant given the nod. The reason being that if the special prosecutor is appointed by the president, he or she will let corrupt government officials whos party happen to in power off the hook of criminal activitys, the special prosecutor should not have nothing to do with the government in power so that corrupt government officials could be prosecuted whiles thire party is still in power.
