It has been my position all the while that Mr. Martin Alamisi Amidu, was not ;interested in retrieving the money from Mr. Woyome. His main aim was to bring down Mahama and the Mahama led Government. He succeeded and saw no point pursuing the matter further. He has succeeded to bring down his brother northerner and is proud of that.Though the duo don't belong to the same tribe, Amidu is Kusaal or something while Mahama is Gonja. These tribes have not been seeing eye to eye for many years.
Alamisi Amidu has carried this on and is now seen as traitor by all level headed northerners and Ghanaians.

It is a heart breaking to even think about it, but it is the way of life with the African Politicians, the way they deal with the con artists from the Western world of so called Brokers. This time , it happened with our own flesh and blood Ghanaian called Woyome, a deal is a deal, if he is a White Man from the European countries, how would we have gone after him to retrieve the money? It would have been impossible to do so.
You can not kill a snake by bruising the tail, you kill it by bruising the head. President Kufour is the head of the snake, and Woyome is the tail, but because of the stupid 1992 Accord constitution, which Rawlings implemented in order to save his stinky ass, Kufour can't be touched. He has to testify in order to get to the bottom of the whole saga, secondly, if the courts wants to know about the money, then they have to give Mr. Woyome an immunity for him to spill the beans, because everything was put on steroids, so all the money did not go to him. Just look at the building of the vice president and the cost of it, the cost was bloated, and i am sure that the house did not worth even $2 million, the same applies to Woyome's money. Until we amend the so called 1992 accord, we will keep experiencing the same thing.
So let's hope Mr. Woyome will use his part of the spoil to benefit the Country by creating jobs for it citizens.

The motive behind Martin Amidu’s redrawer is that, he now believes and trust the integrity and transparency in the current judicial under his excellency Nana Akufo-Addo government.

He has faith that justice will prevail without hindrance, therefore it wastes of legal resource to pursue this matter further.

On balance this matter, should have been dealt with by the state, if doggy Mahama and his political armed robbers didn’t have a share in the loot.
I hope Amaliba has his portion of the debt ready to pay back…?

Did we as a country,at a stage in our our history,whether or not we supported it, not shoot fellow citizens at Teshie Firing Range in the name of the slogan " Probity Transparency and Accountability?" Do we ignore the message just because we dislike the messenger? If Martin Amidu has an ulterior motive or personal agenda should that distract from the "national interest?" Is it possible that the NDC elections loss was partly due to the Woyome saga and the perceived corruption of the government? Do we continue doing politics with these issues? Ghana has truly become George Orwell's Animal Farm. We ordinary citizens will continue to be law abiding and our political elite can continue taking us for granted,but I believe that the Almighty Himself will intervene in His own good time. I believe also that " God helps those who help themselves."Meanwhile,if for nothing at all, we can all get hold of that piece of literature and read it or read it again for those who might have read it up to some 40years ago.It might remind us that one day one day the meek can rise and demand accountability.

Mr Amaliba is spot on, mr martin alamisi Amidu's actions might have been something that may inure to the benefit of the state, his intention was not base on patriotism but rather the one based on greed , selfishness, pride , hasada , egocentrism etc. Mr amidu believe in the foolish principle that, he alone and nobody else can be the best , here is a man who thought he alone should have been the vice presidential candidate of the NDC since 2000 till it wins power. so when he was not picked again in 2004 ,he was Peeved but still hopeful may be after the 2004 election when the NDC lost the election he may still has chance in the 2008 election . then came the 2008 elections he was Again over looked for former President mahama, there he coke his bow and arrow and dug up his trenches waiting to push NDC inside. unknowingly, former President mills walked the entire NDC in to mr amidu's path when he first gave him the interio Ministry and then the ministry of justice and antorney general .so all along mr amidu's intention was to pay back and by so doing, see the back of mr John dramani mahama, he could not withstand the idea of mr John dramani staying in the Flagstaff house and been address as a President, his intention was never to collect any money for the state.
