I know the President and his team may have thought the implementation of this Free SHS scheme already but may I also suggest that much as we want to ensure reduction of poverty across board, not everyone will benefit from it; it is the proprietors of SHS schools who will benefit from this; Secondly, we lack vocational skills to drive the country forward and emphasis should be made on promoting such skills.

Is this gesture going to be adopted by subsequent governments?

A red-herring and controversial issue, to say the least.

The NDC does not want what is good for Ghana,but what is only good for the NDC. Nana Akufo=Addo has challenged the NDC that the people deserve better. Nana and the NPP saids they are here to serve the people and not to be served by the people. By God's Grace this free SHS will be successful and to God be the Glory. I have faith and believe that Good is better than Evil.
Will it be corruption or free SHS? Ghana has chosen a free SHS with Nana Akufo-Addo elected as the President.

it is possible, in south Africa education is free including everything, you just come to school with your uniform up to grade 12 which is equivalent to shs 3 in Ghana, let's think outside the box.

For me I believe that, if we are able to do away with numerous waste in our system all these interventions could be done . For example, if we stop paying the unnecessary exgratia to MPs and presidents,stop public officials from using state cars freely, I mean if we cut down some of these benefits and corruption in general,some of this can done easily. Other countries are doing it,how do they do it. Those countries don't waste money on their public servants like we do. Even some of these countries don't even have the kind of resources we have. All these we can't do attitude is lack of long term vision,and selfishness .
