Without supporting his action, I would say it was very MEAN of the family to have sneaked the deceased out of the moruary.
They could have politely tell him they would pay later. He is finally a human being and must be treated as such.

without supporting his action, we must also bleme the family who smuggled the corpse from him. and was there no one among the family members at the cematary who could afford to pay the GH¢ 4.00

The hospital authorities took a silly decision. Even at the cemetery there should have being some contributions to avoid such act. If they can dress tge body why did they give it out?

Our backward country without free education and our ability to respect the LAW will continue to move backward. So the pastor, eleders and all the people standing there could not afford to contribute 40 Ghs?

The hospital authorities are by their conduct telling the entire world that you can legally engage the services of a poor man and run away with it. Dont they know some people die of very contagious diseases. To the mortuary man, every misfortune is a blessing.

Agreed. The hospital is just bullying the guy. I have a feeling they are just trying to clear their name from the public. They may call the guy back. There aren't too many brave men in Ghana who can do what mortuary man does.

Not surprised at all!! In an era of seizures of Cars, why not corpses? Anybody can just go round seizing anything. Lawlessness everywhere. How I wish the corpse will just slap someone for sanity to prevail!Hmmmmm!

5.Was the mortuary man give a fair hearing before the management handed down that unfair termination?
6. Has management exhausted their indirect contribution to this unfortunate issue?
7. If ever the mortuary man succeeded in the retrieval of the amount of GHS. 40.00; did he issue payment receipt to cover that amount?
The management should revisit this incident again if not the mortuary man would make them uncomfortable.

All the men who were present at that time did no good to the deceased. Those mortuary men should have been beaten mercilessly. In fact,it was nonsense for those mortuary men to do that thing.

those who support the action of the mortuary men please take a few moment and ask yourself these questions are there no other means to get their money back? what about the police? did u seen how they carried the body? did the mortuary men KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THE DIAGNOSIS OF THE DECEASED? HOW COME no health inspector was accompanied when they got to the cemetery. DO U SUPPORT MEN CARRYING EXPOSED DEAD BODY ON THEIR HEADS PATROYING THE STREETS OF TEMA?...Plz I also sympathize with the blight of these poor men but what about public safety? The rule of law. Definably the must never be allowed to do that again. Ghana is a lawful and decent society

They weren't patronising the streets of tema ????????????????. From the hospital to the cemetery is just a few metres. Maybe 200m

This decision if true is very harsh. That man affectionately called "da dinn" (sleep well) does his work diligently. Maybe he had many strikes and this was the last straw that broke the camels back.
