Now, ask yourself as to why Nigeria, Angola, Gabon and many others that are having tens of billion of barrels more in oil reserves as compared to that of Ghana are not doing what Kukurudu is proposing? Our model is based on that of Norway, which is far richer than Ghana, but find it necessary to keep some form of a Heritage Fund for the future generation when their abundance oil reserves are depleted or exhausted.

In fact, Ghana numerous woes are their doings and they are about to add another dimension to it. Brace yourselves, fellow, for it's going to be interesting henceforth. Rwanda, which is smaller in size to Ghana and have no oil or any other mineral reserves in abundance is successfully running Free Universal Basic Education (FUBE) for all by using only the proceeds from the tourism industry. So, why can't Akufo-Addict government do likewise in a country that is very welcoming?

Folks listen me the difference between the NPP and the non yielding NDC could be traced to their derivations. Whilst the NPP was founded on Ideals and dreams to bring Ghana to its position as the black star and hope for the African and the people of African descent both on the mainland African continent and those in Caribbean and the diaspora. The latter is totally a different ballgame, The NDC came in as an interventionist and a Jungle boot organization in lieu of ensuring Justice and Accountability with no clear ideals for governing and development. Along the way the latter seized the opportunity to manipulate the Nkrumaist side of the political isles and positioned itself as the true offspring to the Nkrumah ideological party to implement the dream of the founding father of Ghana and pivot of the African sovereignty. Due to the failure of the NDC to bring in the surviving members of Nkrumah regime to help them implement what they thought could be achieved with just a mere rhetoric, their aim has resulted to that of a proverbial worm with NO CLEAR PATH TO TREAD ON. Now just like any other failed organization their aim is limited to propaganda, corruption, nepotism, financial malfeasance and you name it, their neck is deep down those things they claimed to have triggered their intervention to an alarming proportion. Their founders have even sought to distance themselves and seem to be shaking their heads in disbelief as to where and when they went wrong. So folks don't be astonished to hear their operatives expressing pessimism in any efforts our new government embarks on to bring Ghana to promised land. The reality is that even you give the criminal NDC fraternity a thousand years to govern they can never give the average Ghanaian any meaningful life.

The NPP men have the capability bcos they have lived among the developed in which ever capacity and deeply appreciate the ethos that drives development. That is the important bit. Gleaning knowledge from books can be done by any one even you - No big deal. The point is to inculcate in the mind the critical apparatus that propels the task. It is the reason why throughout history development has been occassioned in no small way by those who went out to experience and bring same back home. The Heritage Fund is a savings. You do not touch it and let grow. That is how the Scandinavian countries like Norway, Finland have managed their Heritage funds.

I thought they are gonna manage the economy for people to have money!

If we want our kids to value their education , then they must not have a free ride for every thing through the course of their studies . In general people don't value things they obtain free . At least they must be responsible for boarding fees while tuition and everything else are made free . Now what will happen is every student will like to reside on campus with free everything that it is going to be very competitive choosing who will be allowed residence and I fear this will lead to bribery and corruption on the part of school administrators offering the limited slots to those who will be residing on campus and the rest of the students becoming commuters who will have to spend money renting rooms in the community . Now with rent being so high and the advance payment required by land lords some of these students can afford to pay for their rents and will be forced to drop out of school . So if the government wants to offer free education then the day students must get some form of financial assistance from the government to assist them with their rent .

Áll of the president's proposals are good except the free food. I think students should be allow to have choices of what they eat. In this way the Ala-carte system is the best. That is what they have in the U.S school system ...
