Descendants of Isaac were rather promised power and grace. Prosperity is just a package that follows believers who are righteous. God did not ask Christians to chase prosperity.

That is why I can't follow any African pastor too closely now. Most of them are after money. I am not saying they are going to misuse the money . The way they can pick one or two scriptures out of context and build doctrines ...

The way they can pick one or two scriptures out of context and build doctrines from them. Christ Embassy Accra is a typical example. That is why they don't teach giving on TV
To them you have to buy the grace of God. They link every Word of God to giving. Giving is good but let people give according to knowledge .As the Bible has said in Corinthians that we should give as we have purposed in our hearts and God loves a cheerful give. They forcefully asked people to pledge. Use guilt trip and high pressure tactics to make members feel once you become a Christian all that God requires from you is money. Let's be careful with some of these churches. They think they are the only ones that have the right to enjoy the liberty in Christ
