  Back to Nkrumah's socialist policies 60 years after independence? There are many people who have graduated from this sort of handout and should therefore be excluded. I therefore suggest to Govt. to use some criteria in determining who benefits from the scheme eg family income levels, technical courses etc.,

  Wow! So strange: if Nkrumah had put the cocoa money into some kind of "trust" most Northerners and some southerners who took advantage of it wouldn't have had education including the former president Mahama.

  The position of the opposition parties in kicking against the partial utilization of the Heritage Fund to fund the free education for the future generation is untenable. Why keep that money perpetually in that fund while our kids remain uneducated? We need to educate them to build employable skills to contribute to the growth of the country. After all, Akuffo Addo is not talking about depleting the entire fund. Only a fraction of that amount would be channeled into the project which would eventually benefit the kids and the nation. NPP should not abandon this idea if there isn't any other source of funding the project.

  Listen to Fifi, what a childish mind. Let me also tell Fiifi that when these children are educated well to become good stewards of the land in the future, they will tell the story to their children that "I became a medical doctor, an engineer, or an astronaut because the gvt in power made educated free for all."
  
  So does Fiifi wants the money to sit for the future generations to come and look at it or what. If we don't use it to educate them today, they will come and call us fools.
  
  I was one of the bright students in my class but dropped out because parents couldn't afford fees in the seventies. Today I hold a masters degree, but it became possible because God miraculously made a way for me to travel to US.
  
  Now consider my case, if I had been in Ghana, what could I have done to earn a masters degree? It would have been absolutely impossible. If I had had this free education, maybe I would be a parliamentarian like Haruna, or even a president like Mahama. Haruna and ndc will cry blood, Nana has all the powers to use the money to take care of the children of the land.
