In the late 90s, the NDC was fully implementing the cash and carry hospital system and always oppose the health insurance scheme concept. They even went to the extent of detaining patients who could not afford to pay their hospital bills. It was the benevolence of the Catholic Church in Nkoranza that defied the strong resistance posed by the then NDC government to start the health insurance scheme. Later, when Kufuor came to power and laid the NHIS bill in parliament, all the NDC MPs walked out of parliament. After the NHIS law was passed, the NDC polluted the minds of Ghanaians that the NHIS does not work. Later, when the NDC realised that the NHIS was working to the admiration of all Ghanaians, they formulated another theory that it was the NDC government that started the NHIS on a pilot basis at Nkroaanza.
Now, after criticising the Free SHS in 2008 and 2012 and claiming that Free SHS is not possible, the NDC is now saying that Mahama laid a strong foundation for Free SHS. Fellow Ghanaians, you can now see how shallow minded Mahama and his NDC goons are. They are simply a bunch of thieves.

Ghanaians in the rural areas of the ten regions of Ghana are said to form about 70% of Ghana's population. They mostly depend on the land for their subsistence and the price of their produce are always set by the almighty government officials. When they set the price they do not take any input from the land dwellers and users so after a whole year toil on the land, they end up with nothing. The state agencies representing almighty government are always the winners. On top of this,and the rural communities our mothers bear the brunt of being the home maker making sure the children the useless men of the Ghanaian society have produced do not go wayward and wasted.
Today, they are reprieved that a government wants to help them take these children most of them abandoned by these same useless men to Free SHS and every man is mounting the parliament,Tv stations,Radio stations, social media to condemn the government.
Of all the spieces God created, the most wicked and selfish and most of the time very stupid is the Ghanaian men. All they think about is impregnating girls and abandoning them and when it comes to their upbringing, they use their positions to block it.
What had any speaker said about the alternative? This is something the Wise women of Ghana want so if the Hetitage Fund will not be allowed to be used; Minority in Parliament, Fifi Kwetey, IMANI...and all those who talk before they think give us the alternative. It is nation building as you want the present government to build upon what the Mahama government did, you hold and pull the wheel to go forward not to artificially put on the breaks.
Our nation has since 1979 being indoctrinated to become a nation of selfishness and wickedness and it is always game manship where common sense has been jettisoned. Let us build a nation of educated men and women in Ghana

Be a politician like Osafo Marfo. Once parliament approves of any resource to be used in the interest of the nation you do not have to fear the opposition.
