This sitting is more serious than the utterances of tit for tat made by Ablakwa. If the allegation of Bribery were true, why should Honourable men accept cash payment which were not supported by Invoices. Why will a member of a Majority seek to bribe the Minority to arrive at a CONSENSUS? Why should Ex-President JDM's former Press Officer make the original allegation report from the grounds of Parliament House? Why will Ayariga not inform the House before speaking to Radio Gold? Why are the ONLY collaborating witnesses Ablakwa & Suhuyini? Unfortunately, this was a poor attempt by a joint enterprise to smear this govt and the JURY is OUT.

If Abronye is to be believed on this issue, there might be some collusion going on between the CID and attorneys for Kofi Adams to allow him to get these vehicles back and in turn sue the state for illegally seizing them.

Nana Addo and his team need to be wary of elements with the police and other security services who might seek to embarrass and frustrate his government.

There's something about this whole vehicles saga that does not pass muster. If indeed the vin numbers on the vehicles have been tampered with, that alone is suspicious enough for more in depth investigations to be done to ascertain ownership.

Let's be careful as a nation so as to not encourage looting of state assets with impunity as seems to be the case here. With lawyers like Samson Ayenini ready to go at bat for any of these thieves issuing empty threats to government agencies.

Nana Addo needs not leave the job of recovery of these assets to patriots like Abronye who might be legally deficient, you need some solid legal brains to counter these dyed-in-the-wool thieves and their enablers.

Mahama’s claim that he and the NDC left Ghana’s economy in good shape is a big lie. The recent IMF mission to Ghana has revealed that Mahama and the NDC rather mismanaged Ghana’s economy before they were disgracefully chased out of power. Joel Toujas-Bernate, leader of the mission, noted that: “In 2016, the overall fiscal deficit (on a cash basis) deteriorated to an estimated 9 percent of GDP, instead of declining to 5¼ percent of GDP as envisaged under the IMF-supported program. The large deviation was mainly due to poor oil and non-oil revenue performance and large expenditure overruns. As a result, the government’s debt-to-GDP ratio increased further to close to 74 percent of GDP at end-2016.”
He further welcomed government’s intention to control public spending and protection of the public purse.
“Significant public spending commitments that bypassed public finance management (PFM) systems were reported. We welcome the new government’s intention to conduct a full audit of outstanding obligations, its commitment to transparency and its readiness to take strong remedial actions to ensure the integrity of the PFM systems going forward.
The large financial imbalances of state-owned enterprises in the energy sector also need to be addressed with urgency to avoid the build-up of contingent liabilities for the new government. We welcome the new government’s commitments to encourage its departments and agencies to implement growth-enhancing reforms in a fiscally sustainable manner,” he added.

...In the late 90s, the NDC was fully implementing the cash and carry hospital system and always oppose the health insurance scheme concept. They even went to the extent of detaining patients who could not afford to pay their hospital bills. It was the benevolence of the Catholic Church in Nkoranza that defied the strong resistance posed by the then NDC government to start the health insurance scheme. Later, when Kufuor came to power and laid the NHIS bill in parliament, all the NDC MPs walked out of parliament. After the NHIS law was passed, the NDC polluted the minds of Ghanaians that the NHIS does not work. Later, when the NDC realised that the NHIS was working to the admiration of all Ghanaians, they formulated another theory that it was the NDC government that started the NHIS on a pilot basis at Nkroaanza.
Now, after criticising the Free SHS in 2008 and 2012 and claiming that Free SHS is not possible, the NDC is now saying that Mahama laid a strong foundation for Free SHS. Fellow Ghanaians, you can now see how shallow minded Mahama and his NDC goons are. They are simply a bunch of thieves. Never again should we allow these state looters to rule Ghana. Nana/Bawumia all the way ..
