I don't like Bishop Obinim though, but I think this is unfair. Why are the kids under his care and still taking him to court. The first thing they should do is to move away the kids from his house before prosecute him.

Just let Obinim walk,between this and politician stealing and depleting our economy through corruption which one is more serious and deserving out time?fathersbeat their children everyday besides our culture is different from that of the west.Growing up we were even beaten at school when we were late,do you remember one wrong one Cain after each mental exercise every morning including dictation?really in all this has the lawyer reach out to the children she's defending to feed and cloths them?does her out fit take care of victims and separate them from their abusers?in the advance countries she copying wrongly ve the structures to house such victims so for me is a complete wait of time,again what about children who sell on the streets?is it not another form of abuse,we always choose the easy option,they should just educate the pastor and stop this case.

I thank God I got to know Him and surrendered to His call as a Christian before these strange Ghanaian Satan-possessed, evil men like Obinim came to the scene. Their repulsive ways - and in the case of Obinim his sleeping with other people's wives, stumping on a pregnant woman's stomach, etc - are these not enough to drive many otherwise sensible, reasonable people away from coming to God and His lovable Christ and being saved? When I look at the way Obinim particularly has manipulated the poor children of God who, thank God, want to be connected to Him by all means and as a result are prepared to stand by whoever they think is a faithful servant of God, I'm particularly appalled. They are in Obinim's grasp and they seemingly can't do anything about it. But God who knows everything about their humble intention, their humble heart, will bless them if they truly live as children of God, as children who recognize the difference between Obinim and Christ. And if they do they will naturally walk away from the service of the devil. At the moment, unfortunately, Satan has found for them a man, a devil, called Obinim. He will perform miracles. Didn't Pharaoh's magicians also perform miracles before Moses? Yes, but they were of inferior kind. Of the kind similar to the one in which Obinim places his shod foot on a pregnant woman. Or the kind in which he publicly caresses a church member's manhood to cure him of impotence. He claims to be working with the Holy Spirit even when he is clearly telling lies. For instance, he claimed that he got to know that the girl he whipped was pregnant only when it was revealed to him during the church service by the Spirit, and that he didn't know of it beforehand at home, implying that the Spirit wanted him to discipline the couple inside the church. Yet the pregnant girl's account showed that Obinim's child, about five years old or so, had come to her room at home, before the church whipping incident to make a comment about her pregnancy and abortion. Where did the child get that knowledge from? Also, just imagine a man who commits adultery as Obinim did and he unrepentantly boast that it was good he indulged in that so that it would be clear he is also a man. In other words to him, God must be glorified by that! Does the God we know, that decent, Holy Father - has He now abandon His scruples? When He chooses a servant He chastens him so the servant will be rightly called by His name. That is why He chastened David. That is why He chastened Joseph, and Abraham, and Jacob. When took the whole of Israel through the desert, He was chastening them. That was why Paul was chastened. All the beatings and the imprisonments, and shipwrecks were designed to grind him as a refined grain: as "silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times" (Psalm 12:6). After each purification, the servant of God saw the power of God and gained submission. And such a servant will always be one to test every Spirit to see whether it's of God. For the man trained by God is one who fears God and does not make wild claims. Our God is a Beautiful Spirit and those who really know Him quickly notice it when there is a departure from His wonderful order and beauty in our lives and quickly exercise caution. Those who are in the employ of Satan don't know the difference.They allow themselves to become useful agents of Satan, for worldly reasons, knowingly or unknowingly. You can know them by their abominable claims, their materialistic bent, their lack of prudence. They can become dogs and lions and tigers and snakes at will. What God is it that will permit this disorder? They are angels in their own eyes. Even Peter said, "Stand up, I am only a man myself" (Acts10:26). Peter said so to Cornelius when the later went down on his feet in reverence to him. A sharp contrast with the Obinims of these days. What is the world coming to now with these types of people? By their behavior, are they not driving away thinking human beings from God and keeping only the simple? That's the purpose of Satan: To make man submit more to fellow human beings than to God; to teach humans that their knowledge of God through Christ is not enough unless they pass it through another "Obinim"; to make humans fear that the devil is unalterably after them in their daily lives unless they lean on the Obinims. The Obinims have learnt to hide from the poor masses the fact that their circumspect walk with God is their strength and not man. The Holy Scripture has made it clear that our sins hide us from God. You can't walk carelessly before God Himself like Obinim does and expect God to help you. Only Obinim, in that case, will be your advocate, not Christ. If you want to walk in perfection, practice love. Love overcomes all since as the Scripture says. If you do that you won't need the Obinims. You need only God who is love. You will truly be set free from Satan and his agents on earth. If things are not going well in your lives you should blame yourselves and not your neighbor. If you go to the Obinims they will direct you suspect your innocent neighbour and with that suspicion, you become dependent on them. Oh, how easily you can deny yourself the benefit of the Scripture: "It is for freedom that Christ set us free" (Galatians 5:1). And know that if you begin to suspect an innocent brother or sister, you are in deep sin and you are going to sink deeper in your troubles. If you are in God by your walk, the arrows that fly by will not come near you, as the Scripture says. You will always be safe under God's feathers. Not those of the Obinims'. So always it's your responsibility to find a church that clearly explains how to walk with God through the Bible: how to imitate His Christ. I pray that whatever the motives of the Obinims, whether genuine or false, as Christ gets preached - Philippians 1:8 - the helpless congregants benefit as God wants them to and that the rest of the world may be so discerning as to notice the presence of agents of Satan when there is one, even in the Church services of God and not allow themselves to be put off. In that case Satan wins. Our Jesus is the only arm of God to draw us into salvation. Seek God: He is demonstrably real. Amen!
