Nana, some of us expect you to outline bold policies that will spur the economy. Also, about the free SHS, do whatever is under the sun to implement it because every Ghanaian child needs that and not only those in the North.

Let those who are questioning cost associated with it, ask about how the North, who have had free education for over fifty years and at what cost?

Our brothers in the North cannot have that free education forever as if they are more important than those in the southern part of Ghana. As we speak, the North had produced two presidents and two vice presidents meaning, the playing field is level so, that free education policy should be scraped or spread it across the country.

Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

Already his speech on corruption is still gathering dust with Boakye Agyarko bribery allegation. Any leader with conviction of purpose would suspend Boakye Agyarko until the Parliamentary probe of the allegation is complete. I bet the Tuesday State of the Nation speech would be laden with another myriad of promises, which is now sine qua non of this President.

Well, he is better than the other guy who was kicked out - at least he speaks with the Queen's accent.

Give our road , streets ,buildings names and enforce the use of national ID card. These things are very important cuz it makes it easy for governments plan and businesses to grow cuz restaurant and other services can easily deliver services. This can creates jobs for drivers and okada riders.
I don't understand y black people can manage their affairs.
All great economies have this basic things .

As the topic says, it is the "State of the Nation Address" and not a policy statement. In what state is the nation right now in terms of the economy, the social and political landscape? Policies and programmes should then be captured in the budget. As for campaign promises they were the indications of the vision of what the President wants Ghana to be like in future. It is up to the National Development Planning Commission to put these promises into the planning perspective in order to achieve this vision, that is, in the short run, in the medium run, in the long run and in the very long run. After all today's planners in Ghana still refer to the vision of Governor Guggisburg when he produced the first development plan for the Gold Coast (now Ghana) in 1919.
