How foolish and stupid for poor nation of ours to safe money for the future when most people have no water to drink, some of kids still don't have classrooms to study. Even common toilet is a scarcity, yet we have low grade buffoons like Kabila telling Ghanaians to sit on money when our hospitals has become a cemetery for lack of logistics to maintain their viability. What sense does it make to starve the kids of today to death when these same kid are the foundation of our future. Most Ghanaians are idiots. They started this programme when oïl producing was booming and their economy very robust in the 70s-80s.
Let's ask ourselves,what has the mass free education including university done for Nigeria now?They wasted the oïl cash for nothing.
SHS is a second circle of education just like the former O'Level.Mind you,students come out from SHS at 18 years without any Professional orientation so what can they contribute effectively to development?
If we want educated population that can contribute rapidly to our develoopment then we must focus on the tertiary institutions with specific scientific and technological studies.
We must put emphasis on science and technology then serious research for innovations.
I don't see how free mass education without any scientific orientation will help develop Ghana,it's not true.Thank you.

This is my suggestion: (1) Eliminate JHS and of course BECE and have students attend 5 years straight of high school. Students will only take high school exams after completing the 5 years high school. All JHS which do not have SHS, will be extended to accommodate the students for the extra 2 years. This way every village or town that already has JHS will have 'SHS' and students will not have to travel or relocate to other areas to complete SHS. I don't think it is necessary to separate JHS and SHS. They should all be rolled into HS. This is cost saving for the government and the parents. The government should rather focus on building more trade schools where the students will get skill training to create their own jobs after finishing high school. That 'university' mentality should be reassessed in today's world.

Many NPP leaders for lack of political savviness come out to make public statements only to turn around to amend or deny those statements when pestered by the opposition.A case in point is the conflicting statements we are hearing regarding the seizures of alleged stolen government vehicles by some NDC leaders. Another example is the use of the Heritage Fund to pay for free SHS, a statement which was suggested by the senior minister,Agyei Marfo and which NPP leaders later came out to say to deny or amend. All these brouhaha only fuel the opposition's drive to paint NPP black and to energize their otherwise dejected base after woefully losing the recent election. The opposition now have the muscle to schedule a demonstration against the alleged ill treatment of their leaders by NPP who accuse them of having government vehicles in their possission. Yes. Why not? The want to remain relevant. This is politics. The rhetoric about the seizures and the manner the vehicles are being confiscated is despicable to say the least. My advice to the NPP leaders is to watch their mouth and be politically savvy whenever they make public statements. In politics, the opposition is like an angry lion waiting impatiently in the bush for a prey to show up so as he can pounce on it. Without a "prey", the opposition will have very little noise to make since they are not in the driver's seat.
