Few years ago, the SAME the happened on Legon campus. Nothing happened to the assailants. So you see. Heinous crimes repeat themselves in any country where crime is not punished. Ghana is a typical example.

Compare to millions of dollars ending into politicians pocket yearly. Do we know why the laddy stole the money. Maybe, her immidiate person was sick, and she needed the money badly. In certain situations of a human life, we are compell to do things we shall not do, everything being equal, as a token to rescue our blinded issues at stakes in our lives. The only way a thief ends up in the police station is when the police intervenes after the thief is caught. Gov't should look into how to reduce robbery, increase police presence and adequately punish the thieves as well as those who take the laws into their own hands especially in cases like this. We have a lot of work to do in fighting crime

It is a fact that going to public to accuse a person of a crime that he or she has not committed in equal to murdering the integrity of the human person. Requesting for your pound of fresh when a person threatened your life or tease you goes against the saying temper justice with mercy, to err is human and forgiveness is golden.
On the Legon issue some of us were of the view that the law failed to protect the victims of the woman's thieving activities from her. The court was well aware that the woman will be going back to the scene of crime to repeat the crime but they it did not protect the victims from her.
There is a case of the human rights lawyers who interceded on behalf of the woman when she was arrested not dealing with the matter psychologically to prevent her from committing the crime again, whiles she was on bail, with a surity to be of good conduct.

It can only take weak minds to do such a thing as done to this woman. Institutions should not be what prevent such primitive acts.

People misbehave the way they feel, not the way the like anymore, because they take law into their own hands, the WATCHMEN who are entrusted to oversees this issues are looking in the political mirror. When a Police Service polluted with politics, fairness and justice is undermine, they can not perform as it should be. It's horrible to see these things happening, in otherwise , it's a curse to treat a woman like that. We have problem in the country if this is the new normal. "Lack of knowledge, my people perish." This is cruelty to creation, MAY LORD FORGIVE US.
