If you listen to Joe Ghartey and his committee members you will think they are conducting radio interview. The sort of questions they ask make one wonder if they are intelligent at all. They only allowed Ayariga to rehash the very story he has concocted and rehearsed all this while. If you want to interrogate a person who claims to have been tempted with a bribe these are the sort of questions Joe Ghartey and his tean should have asked:
1) were you given GHS3000.00 2) In which note; GHS 1.00, 2.00, 5.00, 10.00, 20.00 or 50.00 notes.
3) Did you count the money 4)How many were the notes 5) Was it given in raw cash or was packaged 6) If given in envelop what was the colour of the envelope 7) What is the size of the envelope; normal postal envelope or A4, A5, etc. 8) Was there any writing or inscription on the envelope.
These are the sort of questions that will bring out the truth.

If the new government is really serious about opening the country, and by extension the sub-region, by constructing a railway line from Takoradi to Paga, then this would be one of the most gigantic and beneficial projects that any government after the overthrow of Dr. Nkrumah, would have undertaken. The sheer amount of jobs that would be created before, during and after such a project would be terrific. Then you come to think of the traffic, both human and cargo into Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, C'ote D'Ivoire and beyond. That would be truly earthshaking. Good luck and you have my support!

Well, it is possible to spend more on rail transportation than on road transportation. I am only concerned that nearly all governments of the 4th republic have promised to improve rail transportation but have done very little in that sector. Listening to the president I am very skeptical that he will deliver on this promise. Indeed apart from one-district-one factory and free SHS he has virtually repeated everything past governments have said.

If Akuffo Addo starts the revamping of the Railways and construct new ones to connect other areas of Ghana I will campaign for him to be re-elected in 2020 even though I belong to the CPP.The Railways is one of the most important of the jigsaws needed to resurrect the country's economy.Iam surprised past leaders paid little attention to it.The colonial government used the railways to deplete our resources but we need it to play a very vital role in the economic development of the country.I was fortunate enough to see the Railways in its full use by the colonial government .It was a huge transporter of goods and human beings across the southern region of the country.It facilitated trade,it facilitated the movement of human beings-ingredients needed for economic growth and development.

Learn from the Chinese you skeptical ghanaians.The Chinese now use the railways to transport manufactured goods from China to the UK.Why?Because it is cheaper and faster.The railways is the cheapest means to transport goods,especially bulk goods to the ports and the urban towns.The new railway lines will also open several areas in the country to vigorous economic activities which will in turn accelerate the economic development of the country.MY ADVICE TO THE GOVERNMENT IS THAT IT SHOULD BE UNDERTAKEN THROUGH PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT AND A PRIVATE INVESTOR WITH THE PRIVATE INVESTOR GIVEN THE MANDATE TO RUN IT.THE PRESENT RAILWAY MANAGEMENT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO MANAGE IT AND THE BOARD TO RUN IT SHOULD HAVE A 50/50 REPRESENTATION.
