Ghanaians have become to dependent on packaged foods which are no luxury but for emergency in other places. No wonder Africa has become the dumping ground for plastic rice and real bad drugs from China.

We even import human excreta as a sovereign nation so what do you expect ? What happened to all the factories and state corporations that Nkrumah established ? Look at the great Meridian hotel which was once a big foreign exchange earner for the country including all the state hotels. We have arable lands to produce high grade rice but because we are useless people, we spend huge sums of money to import rice from Thailand. Instead of planing a great industrial revolution as Nkrumah did in the good old days, we keep spending huge sums of money on independence day anniversaries which is senseless in every direction. What have we achieve as a nation after 60 years of self rule ? Imagine our GDP ! Is it not pathetic ? Apart from Nkrumah, all our past and present leaders do not have any scientific revolution vision . In fact, we need to launch a scientific revolution which is the gateway to industrialisation. Importation of human excreta shall remain forever if we don't go back to the visionary days of Nkrumah who turned a small fishing village to an industrial and harbour city. If you abandon your local food and adapt yourself to pizza eating, you earn up importing all the recipes of making pizza from Rome and the end result is eating junk food at a high cost. Foolish ghanaians think eating pizza and fried Kentucky chicken is luxury. Damn all you villagers who don't know that your organic african foods are much more healthier than the junk foods you import from europe to make the europeans and the asians rich whilst your country become an expensive place to live in. They forgot to mention that in some of these countries you can easily get a job to earn a living. Ghana there are no jobs. And we make it expensive for ourselves with our extravagant tendencies; blame it on hiplife. You can relocate to different parts but everyone wants to live in a Accra. I have vacationed in Bahamas and I swore never to go back. Its really expensive and that's because its dollar for dollar. They spend U.S. dollars and that's the problem. There is no local currency. If I have to live any where in the world that's cheap and better lifestyle, I will gladly choose Cape Town in South Africa. I stayed there for four weeks and I must tell you, you will do far better with minimal income.
