Ghana trained Malaysia, with the assistance of the CSIR we have today, in producing Oil Palm from the Palm Tree. Today Malaysia is extracting gas as a by-product of the palm oil they are producing. Ghana has come a long way. WE learnt from the mistakes and successes of Nkrumah, Rawlings and the likes. There is a reason, for example, why we don't talk about coup as an option today, Because we know that coup de tats don't work. Yes, we learnt that from experience of the past.

So to say that we have failed is naive and unprofessional at the least.

Why do you think that the world is singing our praises of excellence in democracy and development? Stop posturing and looking for political appointment and be the elder statesman the country needs.

Yes! GHANA as it was then and now tells me, it's a FAILED state! Yes! I lived it from childhood to adulthood - people now defecate in public places, factories are shut, nothing in Ghana, importation of sugar, tomatoes, rice, toothpicks, toilet rolls, worn underwears etc., high unemployment, discipline, no law and order in our streets, respect for elders, too much GREED for money, CORRUPTION so high, filth/stench all over, gutters choked, 'manholes' in our streets, empty football stadiums, rundown stadiums, failure of the Black Stars and all national football teams, failure of our athletics, hawkers on streets/pavements, no maintenance of government assets (including leaking roof of parliament).......DO I NEED TO CONTINUE???

So Kwamena, for a small nation like ours with such rich natural mineral resources like GOLD, DIAMOND, BAUXITE,ALUMINIUM, CRUDE OIL together with timber, cocoa, cashew, palm oil, shea butter, groundnuts etc. Do I need to continue????

And with the size of population we have, majority of GHANAIANS should not be living in abject poverty. NEVER!!!!

So once again, in my opinion GHANA IS A FAILED STATE! PERIOD!!!!

Let us adopt certain measures like banning all imported cars and finance Kojo Sarfo's car production and give it to all civil servants as a way of hire purchase and see how such action will boost Ghana's economy.
It is time we have faith in ourselves rather than depending on our colonial masters and co.

We have become stagnant, every thing is too had and too difficult we never try. If we can't take risk by trying how can we develop. We have leaders who see failure in every new idea. We want to be rich before we start doing something,until we become rich nothing can be done. Let's not forget that some very poor parents with vission and determination were able to make a big difference in thier children's life. Ghana can do more than we think.
