  This is due,no civilized country in the 21st century allows delinquent parking on their highways.Most accidents in Ghana are caused by broken vehicles which usually collide with on coming vehicle.solutions 1) Parliament must passed a law called DELINQUENT PARKING law that forbids drivers from leaving their vehicles on the road 2.Car Parks must constructed along the highways eg Every 3km along the highway so that drivers can drive and park there when they get exhausted on the way and pay for a few.3Towing cars and emergency numbers must be provided 24/7 so that drivers can call immediately they encounter problem on the way 4) On a long term measure the government must be thinking of constructing Dual lanes at least 6 lanes with 3 on each side with walls in between them to avoid head on collusion of vehicles

  This should a private company doing that as investment it doesn't have to the government. I remember there was such company in the late 90s but may have collapse due to lack of patronage from the public. Government can only that if the owners are ask to pay a fine for living their car by the road side where there is no parking. I think individuals must come together to form a recovery company where car owners can call on the them to move their cars to a destination in case there is break down. But I wonder due to the mindset and our attitude, we are going to patronise the services of such company.mist will prefer to leave their car there and rich out for some way side mechanic.we have a long way to go as a nation. In the western world every motorist subscribes to a recovery company where their cars are towed to a destination f their choice in case of a breakdown.

  When one company does every thing, that company becomes too big and pompous to touch, but when several oters are in the same business, companies tend to function better.

  Tow broken cars to an impound, owner pays fine and collects his car period.The towing company charges for the service, and the government get money to administer it. This will create the conditions for more recovery companies ...

  Tow broken cars to an impound, owner pays fine and collects his car period.The towing company charges for the service, and the government get money to administer it. This will create the conditions for more recovery companies. Then insurance and breakdown service can come after. If there is no penalty Ghanaians will not subscribe to private towing company.

  No need for Mr Atuahene, to express the NRSC’s displeasure about the loss of lives on the roads. You are part of the problem. Drivers now they should not leave unattended vehicles on the roads. I will solve it this way. The said vehicles are raw materials for the steel industry. Put up a public information giving owners of such vehicles 48 hours notice to remove their vehicles or have them towed to the steel industry as raw material ie have them crushed. I saw 48 hours because you want to preserve life. Nice,simple and above all sustainable. Job DONE. See,

  The towing can be a private company. When your car is towed you pay the cost before your car is released.

  Simply as ABCD,Government must row the car and have the people pay for the service and storage for number of day or months that is the only way we will move Ghana forward

  There was towing service on the highways during the Kuffour era but ask the criminal entity and the Highways why the said company withdrew their services. THAT IS THE NDC for you!!!.

  These measures some brothers and sisters are proposing isn't just sustainable. Here's my reasons. A, parking space will be required, b, your proposals require huge cost to be paid by the vehicle owners eg a vehicle towed over long distances, c, the corruption syndrome- vehicle owners will go and BRIBE to have their vehicles released. Hence my solution is in the meantime the best way to save precious Lives.
  No parking space, no bribery. Straight to the mill. I'mean sure all of you will agree to my solution.

  Yours is even dangerous. You create hotspots along the highway for towing trucks, towing does not need to be done for long distances but just to free the road.

  you buy trucks but don't have guidelines on how to collect fees.meaning-the minister knew he will be out of job so he better get them or else.they gonna be rusty by the time they set on the road.
