There are novices and greenhorns in our mediahouses, it's unbelievable! Why do the media reproduce official documents in reporting statutory appointments by the President as if they have insider information. It is so amateurish. In other instance, they would produce the license plate number of the vehicle in their report as if to say their report is authentic by publishing the license plate number.

I am not sure if that's what is being taught at School of Journalism in Ghana. It is downright amateurish and unprofessional to say the least. If the public can't trust what the media put out for public consumption and the media have to show evidence either by official document or a license plate as the case may be to substantiate their report, then one would assume Ghana media have a credibility problem.

It's only in Ghana that you see this practice.

Ghana Publishing Corporation has lost its glory. It used to be flagship publishing powerhouse besides Presbyterian Printing Press, but today it is so comatose even the outgone Looter Mahama NDC gov't would rather divert state funds to printing presses owned by their party financiers to print gov't diaries and documents.

GPC might have contributed to its own demise as they kind of missed the whole information technology revolution and failed to adapt and adopt to the changing times.

Recently I wrote to enquire if they have one of my childhood favorite books - Ayewa Dankwa: Bonsafoo Akanfo Anansesem by Thomas Yao Kani. I was willing to buy a copy and all of his other books.

Yet to date not even an acknowledgement of receipt of my email has been returned. I guess responding to individuals inquiries is too small for them to bother.

How can they prosper with that kind of lethargy? At this juncture they would be better off being sold to a private entrepreneur. The gone looter NDC gov't is part of the blame. They starved the GPC of business, whereas the staff continued to be paid from the common fund. Enkosi Daben Ghana?

If I was GhanaWeb I will delete comments with insaults. Does other countries do that? It doesn't not show the best for Ghana at all. People wake up and insault a whole sitting President, what a hell is that. I get sick reading comments on this sight. Is not healthy at all, how will other countries take us.

I think those who come out with such comments of insaults were not brought up well and need to change. Very heartless, can they talk to their parents like that? I don't think they are God fearing people.

God bless His Excellency Nana Addo. This is because he is one of the finest men in the world. He is so grateful, forgiving and above all have Ghanaians at heart that is why he is appointing competent men to make Ghana work again. Sir John is one of the pillars who fought for NPP and President Nana Addo to come to power and I doubt if President Nana Addo will ever forget him. The fact that he was withdrawn from GPHA doesn't mean the President will not give him any post. If anyone loves Sir John and wants him to be appointed that person will never insult the president. True lovers of Sir John will rather publicize his good works to enable people appreciate him more. Sir John is a great man and the President can never forget him.
