E.T. Mensah I think is frustrated not being in public focus any longer having lost his seat to Sam George in parliament. ET Mensah's utterances after loosing his seat seem more to spite the NDC for loosing the elections rather than a genuine advice coming from someone of his stature. Everything ET Mensah chooses to say negatively and not in the interest of the NDC party, this time round goes to destroy his legacy in public office rather. ET Mensah will be better respected if he maintains a decent silence as an elder member of the party NDC that brought him into limelight. ET Mensah has lost the respect of all NDC members when chose to bend backward to describe Nana Akuffo Adoo's State of the Nation's Address as "Fantastic" and one never heard before in Ghana. ET Mensah should think of the political legacy he wishes to leave behind for his children and generations after and be measured in the manner he talks, otherwise he'll die and be buried with all that he has achieved politically without any sympathy left behind for his children to benefit from. George Lor, a much younger NDC member also lost his primaries to another member in his constituency but, has conducted himself very decently in the public space without malice to anyone. What do we say about ET Mensah who has refused to accept Godwill as he keeps talking like the world has collapsed under his feet, all ET Mensah's contemporaries who equally have lost their seats have accepted the will of the people and avoided the glare of the TV cameras except you Mr Mensah who keeps flashing his grey hair across camera views even when he wasn't needed there. You bait the pressmen and put yourself in positions to be interviewed, an opportunity you desire to vent your frustrations and gets to spleen on the NDC party for not "protecting" you and your parliament seat enough. GHANA NEEDS A VIABLE OPPOSITION TO THRIVE AND ALSO TO MAKE THE TRIBALISTIC NPP NOT GET COMPLEMENT AND CORRUPT. IN FACT MAHAMA WAS A POOR/INEFFECTIVE LEADER BECAUSE HE NEVER FOUGHT FOR HIS PRESIDENCY. HE WAS JUST A NICE MAN BUT NO PRESIDENTIAL QUALITIES AT ALL- I.E BEING FIRM AND BEING A LEADER IN THE TRUE SENSE. MAKING SURE HIS MINISTERS DO THE RIGHT THING AND CRACKING THE WHIP WHEN THEY FALL SHORT. PROF MILLS(RIP) WAS RIDICULED BECAUSE HE WAS ALSO CHOSEN AND NEVER THOUGHT TO BE HIS OWN MAN. IN FACT HE WAS MOSTLY UNDERMINED BY THAT EGOTISTIC RAWLINGS HIMSELF EVEN AFTER DEARTH. THE SO CALLED RAWLINGSES SHOULD STAY OUT AND LET INTERNAL DEMOCRACY PREVAIL- THEY MAY BE THE SO CALLED FOUNDERS (WHAT EVER THAT MEANS IN A DEMOCRATIC PARTY)BUT THERE WERE SO MANY PEOPLE WHO SACRIFICED FOR THEM- SOME EVEN DIED FOR THEM TO ENJOY BEING SO CALLED PRESIDENT AND FIRST LADY.THEY SHOULD LOOK DEEP INTO THEMSELVES IN THE MIRROR. THEY SHOULD LET A TRUE LEADER WITH GOOD PRINCIPLES LIKE AKUFFO ADDO FIGHT AT CONGRESS AND WIN ON HIS/HER OWN RIGHT. LET A LEADER PREVAIL THAT PEOPLE WILL SAY THIS MAN/WOMAN STANDS ON HIS OWN TWO LEGS. LET A LEADER COME OUT WHO WILL NOT SIT DOWN AND LET CORRUPTION PREVAIL BECAUSE HE OR SHE IS SCARED TO ACT. NDC WILL NEVER PROSPER UNTIL THE SO CALLED DEMI GODS BUTT OUT AND LET THE PARTY MOVE ON. NO HUMAN BEING IS INDISPENSABLE- NO MORTAL. WORD TO THE WISE IS ENOUGH
