There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States, Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

They have started accusing Akuffo Addo as a failure less than one and a half months into office. Under normal circumstances every new government is given 100 days which is over 3 months. Since they still do not understand why they lost they have resulted in uncouth utterances with Anyidoho, Asiedu Nketiah, Quashigah, Ablakwa, Sam George and co being the culprit. Ghanaians voted overwhelmingly for Nana to be the President and Ghanaians will judge them by what they will do in 4 years time not one and a half months time, so they should stop beating about the bush other than that they will be in opposition for a very very very long time. Right now no one cares about NDC and no one wants to hear the party NDC because of what Ghanaians know so far and what will be revealed in the next months to years. To NDC, they are done as party and it will be extinguished even before the 2020.

I'm surprised to hear that some folks say that the NDC "sheepishly handed over power" to the NPP? Very interesting to note! The NDC didn't hand over power to the NPP on a silver platter; they fought their best fights ever, but was outwitted by a smart and a determined force.
After the 2012 Supreme Court Verdict, Dr. Bawumia revealed 1,000s of Togolese and other West African Nationals had succeeded in registering with Ghana's NHIS card for election purposes; the NDC, led by their Gen Secretary and his deputies started lambasting the astute economist and statistician! The called Bawumia all sorts of funny names.
The SC ordered Ghana's EC to delete names of all NHIA card-bearing holders from its electoral roll and allow them to re-register; the NDC quickly jumped to the EC's defense saying that "MAJORITY" of Ghanaians registered, using the NHIA system. Pressed further by a suit by NPC's Abu Ramadan at the SC praying upon the August House to order the EC to prune Ghana's electoral roll of all questionable names, and which the SC kindly obliged, the EC could only account for 56K as the number removed from the electoral roll nation-wide! Meanwhile the EC in collaboration with the NDC, had told Ghanaians that 15 Million registrants had been captured in the ED's electoral data. So it's a big surprise to hear the EC announce that 5 million, out of the said 15 million, in their data, strangely decided to refrain from participating in the December 2016 election. Mama mia! What was their motive to stay away from voting? I just wonder why?
The truth is the NPP, engaged our West African neighbours, on various platforms and advised them that it was not worth risking one's life, just for the purpose of elections, which was illegal, in the first place. The Togolese and other nationals read through the lines and abstained from part-taking in Ghana's elections. And that accounts for the 5 million apathetic voters, who influenced the elections results; people just didn't see it worthwhile to indulge in bogus voting ventures!
Now the NDC have engaged in "blame games" refusing to bring themselves to accept that election fraud had aided them to win elections, esp by conniving with the EC. It's no secrete that many of top managers at the EC, are all NDC sympathizers. For over 30 years, the EC bosses have been chosen by the NDC govt, the latest being Madam Charlotte Osei and her deputies, eg: Amadu Sulley and Dzakpasu, and others who constitute the core managers of the EC, who're always looking out for NPP's cause.
Thanks God that the NPP did their homework very well and were able to block every NDC's attempt to rig the elections once again! I pray that the NDC never came back to power, so Ghanaians could see real change under a good govt and good governance!
The NDC can't thing far; they'll lie until thy kingdom come! Ghanaians should rise up and fight the evil doers in our country, so the new govt could map out strategies to nip corruption in the bud! May God bless our homeland, Ghana. Amen...!!!!!
