The new Akuffo Addo administration did not seem to get this, that the NDC had stockpiles of the Ghana cedis and were ready to change them to dollars and as a result the cedis was going to be battered severely and subsequently lose value, The situation has not even bottomed down yet because they still have a chunk of the cedis at their possession and are ready to change them, it doesn't matter how much the rate will soar. My investigations revealed this just few days after the elections. But l was also in denial and never thought that impact was going be that much. So as matter of urgency the Bank of Ghana should come up with regulatory measures now.
