There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States, Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

These cars are likely state owned cars and the police are simply deceiving Ghanaians. Did you guys notice that the police never mentioned where those cars were purchased and how much was paid for them? With such a high level investigation of national interest, the police should have at least say where the cars were bought, from who, for how much, and how it was paid for (checks or cash). Like Kofi Adams cars, the police chief Dapaah had called that the cars be returned to Adams even before the investigations had begun. All the police were doing is to prove that the person bought the cars legally. But what Ghanaians wanted to know is if those cars were govt cars which were purchased. I believe Kofi Adams provided papers to support his claim that he bought those cars. But he bought them from the govt. That is what the police is not telling us. The NPP will also be in trouble if that truth is revealed. NPP Akomea was alleged to have purchased a car for $200 or GHS 800. This is why the current govt does not want the investigation to reveal that these NDC folks bought those cars from the govt.

Do these fools know why most of the real gurus in government today are quiet on the issue of the purchases of government vehicles? It is because they benefited same in 2009, and are waiting to benefit again if and when they exit power in the future; And instead of edging all of us to prevail on government to come clear on this arrangement in order to stop it, these ignoramuses are playing the dirty political game while their masters in government are silently laughing at their ignorance and stupidity, and waiting to enjoy same in future.
