  What a government!! You mean while NDC in government put in place policy measures to discourage our unfortunate sisters to migrate from the north to engage in KAYAYEISM in the south, NPP in government is ignorantly trying hard to encourage our under privileged and vulnerable sisters to continue as head porters? The local government level levy for KAYAYEIS was a form of "punishment" to discourage them from migrating down south. The then NDC government tried to keep them at the north by making them avail themselves to opportunities created by the government. They were made to undergo training in vocations of their choice such as dress making, hairdressing etc. Clueless Nana Addo/Bawumia what do you take Ghanaians for. Some of our Ghanaians are so gullible and Nana Addo will continue in his incompetence so long as large majority of Ghanaians are twi soeaking illiterates

  Nii, Are you saying collecting the daily tolls from these wretched young girls from the North, was a punishment to desuade them from trooping down south to engaged in the Kayayoism? I now understand why NDC government is in opposition. Remember SADA JUBA etc. At least those deprived girls were fortunate enough to have a Northner who should have been compassionate as their President, yet what did we saw? He was proud level headed man who claimed to have brought Dubai to Ghana. Tax relief to these people should be the first step to find a lasting solution to the problem. Lots of them are carrying fatherless babies at their backs. I think the NPP government should prioritise the problem otherwise, we would live to Regret in future as a nation.

  Joseph the dreamer, you didn't know? Tax or levy imposes, though a means of revenue generation also serve as disincentive to dissuade. Abolishing such levy is rather an incompetent decision, because, they are being encouraged to leave the North to the south for the kayayei job instead of giving them life. What the clueless Nana Addo's government should have been doing is to think of how to give them a meaningful life, a sustainable vocation like the NDC government was doing by enrolling them in dressmaking etc.
