If you look at cocoa,gold,oil,govt doesn't produce anything here apart from collecting taxes as revenue.
Apart from these traditional exports govt doesn't produce anything either in the non-traditional exports as well apart from collecting taxes.
When you look at the local economy,manufacturing,agriculture,finance,banking,services etc,govt doesn't produce much here either.
In conclusion,the economy is totally depending on the taxes from private sector both in the formal and informal.
NPP cannot tell us that they are going to shift from these taxes and manage the production of the promised 216 district factories which don't exit now anyway anyway.If even we have 216 district factories today owned by the private entrepreneurs.Is that what NPP will manage for Ghana's economy?I hope not.
What sense does it make if you want to shift from tax management but at the same time promising to widen tax collection?This is contradictory to NPP's own Policy.Thanks.
