Having said all that, how do we know he was not praying? Yes, he appears to be sleeping, but this may be his own style of communicating with God. :)

He also knows Ghana's independence story very well. So when Akufo Addo started revising our independenc story, playing up the role of his relatives and playing down Kwame Nkrumah' s role, Mugabe devised a diplomatic way to rebuke him by pretending to be asleep. He wasn't actually sleeping. He PRETENDED to be sleeping as a way of protesting Akufo Addo' s revisionism. :)

Now they don't even have their own currency due to hyper-inflation. They have to use US dollar. People go to the street with their tooth-brush to but a little squeezed tooth paste to brush their teeth.I have lots of friends from there. Stay updated before you make any such statements. It is like praising Idi Amin of Uganda.
