Ghana international Alhassan Wakaso is still very confident that Lorient will pull the chest nut out of blazing fire to escape relegation this season.
Lorient were thumped by Marseille 4-1 over the weekend and have struggled all season to bring in results.
They are 20th on the league table, five points below the drop zone and will have to start picking up points if they want to remain in the top tier.
But Alhassan who joined them in the winter transfer window says the ball is in their court if they want to stay on with the big boys.
“Well as things stand the ball is still with us to get down and work hard for the results,” Alhassan told GHANAsoccernet.com
“We have some really difficult games coming up but if we are able to win those games it gives us the opportunity to build on our confidence and move.”
“I know how well we are all working and I am very certain that we can go on and get something that will be enough for us to stay on.”
