As you all know, 90% of politicians in Ghana steal money from the government to make their families better. So you don't expect Mahama to have compassion on the poor. He was busy promoting himself and hoping to win a landslide elections in December 2016. I hope a northerner of his caliber should never stand for president in Ghana again to disgrace us. I hope someone from the Upper West or East should stand as a presidential candidate when the time comes. Not many people want to play politics in my region, but I think we are more honest than the other brothers in the other regions.

Point 1: Having a gender and children minister who prefer to wash her dirty linings (including family stuff) in public is a misnomer and immaturity even if she is age 55.

Point 2: Not holding brief for SADA and how their work might have impacted poverty in northern Ghana, I ask about the direct beneficiaries of the SADA rot. If Otiko can't recollect about SADA tractors, she should get help from Martin Dery (younger brother of Hon. Ambrose Dery). I'm sure Martin will say Mahama was not a beneficiary of the rot at SADA.

Point 3: If its about leadership and accountability, I wonder the level of accountability that existed in the NGO she ran while she was a student in UDS-Wa Campus. How many girls did she empower through the advocacy project? How did she get the project and how did she lose it? She got it from the boyfriend who was the regional boss of Plan-Ghana at the time and she lost it with a vehicle when the boyfriend got moved from the region. The lest evaluation of accountability threw out mess. If it was about public service, her name would have been mentioned for long - maybe close to that of Wahomy.
That work is a line on her CV to parliament and she was insulting the people of the north (UWR) by using the work as an excuse for not doing national service.

Point 4: If she is so passionate about developing the north as she is in government now then she should start by changing the hardened hearts of those non-public actors who propagated the SADA corruption at the board level to change hearts. That may include her as a surrogate. That little can mean a lot for northern Ghana.

In conclusion: I see anger in her former NGO staff for the missed opportunity to improve the lot for girls, and the people of the north for continuously using our poverty to her political and economic agenda.

With all these unending line of words you put out there suggests that you're trying to spin the words of the finance minister into a different direction. He made it clear that the free education program is going to begin in the fall season with the first year students and continue from there. The administration knows what they intend to achieve by these steps, and one of them is to avoid the propaganda that will be spread by you same opposition elements in terms of achievement. So they're starting it with beginners in order to ascertain the difference between The kids Who had the burden of fee paying and how that affected their studies and these ones with no burden financially, how their performance would be, because some of these children have to go and sell for their parents or to engage in some sort of activities to be able to meet their financial obligations. And these things hinders their studies in diverse ways. So the issue of a kid skipping classes with the excuse that my parents can't pay my school fees or my exams fee will be a thing of the past. Now considering the tax free spare parts you people are taking about, Some taxes cause a chain of reaction on the pricing of a commodity and put a burden on the consumers and l'm giving these literal accessment so that the reader will understand what l am trying to say without quoting any financial terms. And this explains why in some countries like Benin they have adopted to the free port system to make sure that transportation doesn't always suffer going through surging petroleum prices and other tariffs which at end of the day affects the entire pricing of every commodity in the market and the cost of living in general. One of the reasons why the NDC failed is that, they mingled economic facts and political facts together and never seemed to care about the impact on the life of the average Ghanaian. For instance the NDC was so obsessed with clinging on to power and never cared about what happens to the economy, even if destroying the business predominantly held by the opposition party's sympathizers will ruin the economy of our country was never one of their concerns. This also explains why they try to build all the four markets at the Kumasi central district simultaneously without even considered what impact the disruption of these business activities will have on the economy of the nation. This was also the reason why they failed to tackle the spare parts skyrocketing taxes issues, since the spare parts business is held predominantly by the opposition party sympathizers, in their illusionary economic principles was to crush the spare parts businesses to hamper the financing of the NPP. How can you build a nation with that formidable economic prospect on this footing?.

She only described the president the way that is fitting. Wicked and evil; for not punishing those who failed to make SADA materialize. And the minds like Okudzeto Ablaka and Haruna Iddrisu who are in parliament for selfish gains will always make corruption look good just because they are also part of it.
Ablakwa had 20 million cedis stolen from his car boot shortly when he became an Mp when he sent his car to a washing bay for cleaning. As to how that boy with sharp teeth came by 20 million in his car boot is only God who knows. I really don’t know how that matter ended. So, it is hard for them to see a fine young lady pour her anger on a president who will not act after making him aware by a committee of how a loan meant for poverty eradication project was misapplied.
The NDC has lost the elections. They are reeling in pains and they still could not believe it. Family members like Mahama Haruna, who were hanging on, and benefitting from the loot are now up and again to discredit some appointees of the ruling NPP. I am not an NPP sympathizer but I hate the attitude of some NDC apparatchiks who think the best way for them to release tension resulting from their loss was to fabricate vicious lies to discredit members of the ruling government. I am a full blooded Ghanaian and a Krobo by birth from Somanya in the eastern region. I have no relationship at all with Otiko, nor the NPP. I see Otiko on campaign platform and I listen to her messages. Personally, I think Otiko was largely misunderstood. She had the golden opportunity at the vetting to have explained her outburst against her own brother, the former president but she was not able to do that. And she was not able to make her points clear. And it seems no one has been able to guide her to come out clearly to make her points clear to the ordinary Ghanaian.
I used to like former president John Mahama when then a minister and an MP. I was then a student at the university of cape coast. He had a calm demeanor, a man of few words, but was spot on when he speaks. On issues at the time. But that changed. He allowed himself to be corrupted when he rose to the highest seat of the land. Became corrupted to the extent that he could not take action against his people who were creating and looting the national purse. He simply became one of them.
Otiko’s pain was simply this, and let me say it for her “My brother is very wicked. My people and his people are suffering. There was a plan to create jobs and eradicate poverty in the north through SADA. A loan was procured for that purpose. The program was launched which was supposed to bring relief to our people. The whole project was mismanaged but to the advantage of only those entrusted with the project and their families. Every segment of the SADA project failed. When the SADA managers were asked to account for an empty structure without guinea fowls, all that they could tell Ghanaians was that “all the guinea fowls had flown to Burkina Faso”. SADA failed, GYEEDA failed, and the people continue to wallow in poverty in the northern region. A committee was set up to investigate the whole issue surrounding these investments. The committee established that massive corruption was the reason for the failure of SADA, GYEEDA and all the other segments. I don’t think we are hearing this for the first time. A journalist with Joy FM took pains to investigate this rot and made a comprehensive write-up on this corruption saga. Everyone seated here at this committee doesn’t need to be reminded of how bad things went with SADA. I expected the president to have acted swiftly on the committee’s report. He did not. My people are still suffering. My attack on him, was not his person, not his office, but because he perpetuated the suffering of our people by not acting. I am ready to render unreserved apology to the president if all I said were fabrications and if any of you at this sitting is able to contradict me. I stand by my words. I will not apologize today, nor tomorrow to someone who has all the powers to deal with a situation to bring sanity and to serve as deterrent to other r people in authority but failed”
Otiko’s pain was the fact that no action was taken by the president. The president knew the rot that went on. He kept quiet. He disregarded the committee’s recommendations to prosecute those found palpably involved in the shady deals that caused the demise of SADA but rather reassigned them to a more juicy positions. No action was taken. The people of the north still wallow in poverty. Why shouldn’t we frown on corruption and those whose duty it is to punish the wrong doers? How on earth could guinea fowls that were supposed to be raised in a pen fly away to Burkina Faso and a sitting president sees nothing wrong with that?
Anyone who attack Otiko because she went to town on John Mahama is not very wise. I perfectly support her stand not to apologize to the president when asked to do that at the vetting. Yes, these are the women we need to steer affairs of the country. She may not be liked by corrupt minds but that doesn’t matter at all.
Now did I hear the guy by the name Mahama Haruna? What is he saying about Otiko and a so-called arranged marriage with Otiko…………. Hear the fabricator of lies " Former President Mahama saw Otiko as an abrasive, arrogant and a “too known” lady he could not control. President Mahama later married his wife Lordina Mahama, who was very beautiful, curvy with an excellent back."
When did controlling a woman become one of the signs to look for in deciding whether or not to marry a particular woman? So Mahama Haruna is telling us that marriage is only possible as long as the man exercises control over the woman he calls his wife? He continues to say President Mahama saw another woman of his heart and married her, right? And how rosy, lovely or committed was that marriage between Mahama and Lordina? Did they stay together from the day they married? Why did they go their separate ways only to come together for political expediency? It is no secret that former president Mahama is a "play boy". And still a playboy…….....hopping from one woman to the other to the extent that he can even sleep with the whore who goes by the name MIZBEL. What happened to that so-called "very beautiful curvy" Lordina , that he could not stick to her but flirting all around and still assing around? And by the way, where are the curves on Lordina?
I blame Otiko for responding to such a stupid misguided lies. The best Otiko should have done was to ask authoritative and seasoned family person who knew the upbringing of she Otiko , and would have been part of the so called arranged marriage to respond to this filthy lies. And it is still not too late. Otiko should let the mom, if alive or the marriage makers of the family come out on this issue. We are tired of these NDC guys who will not wait until the independent prosecutor start calling them to come out and account for their stewardship to continue wasting our ears with garbage.
And my last word to you, Miss Otiko, we love you, we know you and we know what you stand for. Stop responding to stupidly manufactured lies, and if you would have to do so, let someone speak for you and in this case, a family person who was alive at the time and would have been part of the marriage speak for you on this matter. God bless you and may He grant you wisdom to continue to hate and shun corruption in all forms and stand for the truth and only the truth.
