The issue as I see it has to do with Teacher and Parental commitment to the child. The commitment of most Parents in Africa countries to the education of their wards is non-existent compared to that of Parents in Asian countries. The different is always very clear in the performance of the students produced in the respective countries? Need I say more?

It is disingenuous to write a story about how a brilliant man from Ghana, is helping sort out computing problems, and then introduce the political issue of current American immigration policy. America is a nation of immigrants. They have ALWAYS acknowledged this fact. What is going on now, is that the people who inhabit the left of the political spectrum have decided that ANYONE may come and reside in the United States. That is insane! America used to have policies which guided which immigrants were allowed in, and which were excluded. Moral turpitude was a thing that excluded a potential immigrant. Do was disease such as tuberculosis, and so was the possibility that an immigrant would become a "public charge". America has a large roster of people who have won world wide prizes like the Nobel Prizes in Chemistry, Physics, Medicine, etc., and who were immigrants or descendants of immigrants. People on the left of the political spectrum are to be deaf when they do not like the rationale of an issue. They now consistently conflate immigration and illegal immigration. Or, to put it another way, they refuse to accept the proposition that there is such a thing as "illegal immigration". You cannot have a country - any country, in which people just come and settle without anyone knowing who or what these people are. In the same way, you cannot go to your private home, and have a stranger just move in and take up residence without your specific invitation. From this article, we can conclude that Professor Boahen is brilliant, and he is also an immigrant in America. Brilliant or not, IF he is not a legal immigrant, then he does not belong in America. Just as being invited to be a guest in your home is a privilege, being similarly invited to be a guest in someone else's country, is also a privilege. It is illogical to regard it as a RIGHT. The current political reaction of the "right", in America, is the result of the excesses of the "left", in America for the last forty years or so. The "left", still doesn't listen.
